Whether you're a fan of pilates or love relaxing through yoga, our Ocean Fitness Mind & Body classes are for you.

Yoga is extremly popular here at Ocean Fitness, using postures and conscious breathing in combination with mental focus to develop awareness, strength, flexibility and relaxation. Through proper alignment and mindful actions of the body, Yoga brings balance, strength and a sense of well-being.

Other forms of yoga are more dynamic, physically and spiritually energizing which will sculpt, hone and tone every muscle in the body. Yoga techniques characterised by flowing poses and sequences that are linked to the breath.

Just like our Ocean Fitness yoga classes, Ocean Fitness pilates are also very popular and in high demand.

Pilates is a blend of flexibility and strength training which improves posture and form, puts particular focus on your core and supports you with training, toning, recovering and in everyday life. Classical Pilates is based on the original classical mat series 34 exercises as designed by Joseph Pilates.

It is a disciplined practice that needs to be done on a regular basis to provide benefit.

Strong Vinyasa Yoga

Faster paced vinyasa style flow yoga practice moving through sequences of postures with the breath. Suitable for all levels especially those with yoga experience

Gentle Hatha - Yoga

Gentle stretches alongside some meditation and breathwork. Suitable for all levels including beginners. Pregnancy friendly.

Tone and Sculpt - Yoga

Everyone is welcome to join, people of all shapes and sizes. Faster-paced yoga flow with elements of fitness for strength and body toning. It is a head-to-toe stretch, with the main focus on the core and lower body

Slow Flow - Yoga

Slow flow is a vinyasa flow practiced at a slower pace with longer held postures, essentially providing time and space for the student to fully experience the postures in their body.

Slow flow classes can help you find the space between poses while still retaining the gentle rhythm of a flow yoga class.

Rise and Shine - Yoga

Greet the day with power and positivity. In this warming and awakening yoga flow, you'll move through several variations of sun salutations to brighten your energy and leave you glowing.

Firm and Tone -Yoga

Builds long and lean muscles for an overall toned body

With an emphasis on poses that firm and strengthen your glutes and thighs. this class will tone your lower body and build core strength at the same time. Plus poses that engage the arms encourage your muscles to hug the bones for lean, toned arms and overall leaner look. Move mindfully from one pose to the next.  Even the transitions between poses are an opportunity to build core and muscle strength.

Deep Slow Stretch - Yoga

Restorative and yin practice, holding poses for longer for a deeper more relaxed stretch. Good for all levels including

 

Mother & Infant - Fitness

Post-natal classes for all new mothers. Bring your infant with you to this new and exciting class. Gentle fitness for mothers building up the body post-birth. Max age for babies is 9 months. All infants must be brought to class in a car seat.

Pop Pilates

Pop Pilates is an evolution of regular Pilates, challenging people to develop incredible core strengths. It is a mat-based fusion of ab chiselling total body-defining movements, all performed to the beat of the music, so it feels like a dance on the mat, each song track focuses on a different part of the body.

Pilates works by strengthening the core muscles of the body and improves support to your joints and spinal stability. Pilates exercises focus on strengthening the central core deep abdominal, pelvic floor, and lower back muscles, which allows for more balanced and controlled body movement.

Sculpt & Tone Pilates

A fusion of Pilates meets the added challenge of light weights for a comprehensive strength building experience. Engage in dynamic movements, breath work and precision all designed to engage and challenge your core, arms, legs and more.

Fit 55 - Pilates

This specialized class is tailored for individuals aged 55 and above, focusing on gentle yet effective Pilates exercises. With a keen understanding of osteoporosis, osteopenia, hip replacements, and back issues, our sessions prioritize safety and functionality. You'll engage in movements designed to improve balance, flexibility, and core strength, promoting overall stability and joint health. Our experienced instructors will provide modifications to accommodate individual needs, creating a supportive and enjoyable environment.
